“Not afraid to be a little controversial, the team were able to capture my thoughts and opinions perfectly and turn them into something that went down a storm in the press.”
Andrew Johnston, Founder of TempRocket
With our brand new online temporary staff recruitment platform coming out of beta stage, we were keen to make as much noise as possible across the recruitment / HR industry and position TempRocket as an up and coming disruptor in the online temporary staff recruitment space. Thanks to a recommendation from a fellow entrepreneur, I engaged KLPR to initially support with the official press launch and, on a longer term basis, raise my profile as a thought leader on all things digital recruitment.
On launching TempRocket, we had three core audiences: the hirers, agencies and contractors – bringing all together on a one-stop shop platform to streamline the recruitment process for all parties involved. KLPR identified all the key industry publications we needed to be seen in to reach these audiences and kicked things off with a launch press release that nailed our key USPs and benefits.
Alongside this, the team produced a series of general recruitment thought leadership topics to support the launch. Not afraid to be a little controversial, the team were able to capture my thoughts and opinions perfectly and turn them into something that went down a storm in the press. Following that, they picked up on key angles relevant to vertical sectors such as plumbing, electricians, education and secured ongoing coverage for the TempRocket brand.
The launch press release alone resulted in 12 pieces of free PR coverage in key publications including Recruitment Grapevine, Employer News, Recruiting Times, OnRec, Bdaily and Recruiter. It also opened doors to more in-depth comment pieces in these titles and beyond.
Ramping up from this, the thought leadership and opinion pieces were regularly published in key recruitment industry and vertical trade titles (in both print and online) ensuring a vast spread of coverage reaching all the audiences we wanted to reach.
Over a six month period of engagement (including the quieter summer and Christmas months), KLPR had secured an impressive 45 pieces of PR coverage across all of our core press. They even provided additional website copy writing to ensure our website was continually updated with relevant external industry news and worked closely with our social media agency to ensure every piece of press coverage was amplified.
