“The KLPR team have fully embedded themselves within our business and are always on hand to support our thought processes. The content they have created as a result of our own client research and foresight has been of an exceptional standard”
Mark Inskip, Global CEO, Kantar Futures
Part of the WPP Group, Kantar Futures (formerly known as The Futures Company) is a leading global foresight and futures consultancy, made up of a team of consultants, researchers and futures experts who use futures techniques and cultural foresight to help clients ‘Profit from Change’.
Despite having such a wealth of content and insights, we weren’t using this to our full advantage and wanted to share our knowledge with a broader audience, while raising awareness of the company’s offering and key members of our executive leadership team.
KLPR was brought on board in February 2016 not only to ascertain the PR value of our existing content and thought leadership library but to support us moving forward in sharing our global expertise and turning these powerful insights in relevant and newsworthy articles to share with the media.
KLPR quickly got to work in assessing the PR value of existing thought leadership, interviewing key stakeholders and finding interesting and relevant news hooks from which to build an authoritative, compelling and ownable point of view.
Within days of being appointed, KLPR had already developed an article based on a recent webinar presented by our Executive Chairman (a well known thought leader in the industry) who described their effort as “very impressive, and, frankly, better than anything I’ve gotten like this from any PR firm we’ve worked with since the late 90s.”
From written word to video blogs, the KLPR team have become fully embedded within our team both in the UK, US and Asia by working closely with our different teams around the world, including our social media team.
They are constantly keeping us up to date with what’s going on around the world (across all our industry sectors) and have proven to be a valuable research resource and sound board for bouncing around ideas.
Within the first year of working with KLPR, our initial focus was on raising awareness of The Futures Company – and now Kantar Futures – in the marketing press (which they did – with a spread of thought leadership and feature comment coverage in key titles including Campaign, Cream Global, Brand-e, The Marketing Blog, Net Imperative). But what was even more impressive was that they also secured comment opportunities with Forbes, Bloomberg and VentureBeat, as well as an interview with The Economist.
Being a global company, we were delighted that they also secured a regular blog opportunity in M&M Global and helped create a Best Practice Guide on Centennials (one of our core topics for 2016) for Warc.
They even secured an unheard of editorial partnership with a key business title – more details of which will be revealed soon. We look forward to even bigger and better things in 2017!
