“We have seen a substantial uplift in coverage of GenieConnect in the UK and Europe since starting work with KLPR. Indeed one of our senior team said that our business development director’s picture seems to be ‘everywhere’ at the moment. KLPR’s good work is really appreciated by our marketing team, and their strong trade and press relationships and wider industry contacts, have been key to raising the profile of GenieConnect within the sector and beyond.”
Lauren Marshall, Marketing Manager, GenieConnect
Having recently parted company with our previous PR agency we were looking for an agency that not only had good contacts within the meetings and events sector, but were also able to help widen our reach into the marketing sector; helping us target people higher up the organisational chain that would be involved within the meetings and events decision making process. Although we create the majority of our content in house, we needed an agency that would be able to distribute our blogs in the UK and European market and grow our share of voice within the sector place against our key competitors, while at the same time helping to guide us with content ideas moving forward.
KLPR ran an analysis of our existing positioning within the key meetings and events trade press in the UK, before setting out to establish and build relationships with these titles and place GenieConnect articles across the key publications, both online and in print. The team also worked to set up meetings between key editors and our business development director, both in the UK and at events around the globe.
Since they were hired in May 2014, KLPR has consolidated our positioning in the trade press with regular blogs and news stories appearing in our key target titles. They have also managed to help us expand into the marketing sector where possible. In their first month, KLPR secured around 15 pieces of good quality coverage in publications such as: Conference News; M&IT, Association News International, Events Industry News and International Meetings Review. KLPR was also able to step in temporarily to help in the US market when we lost or incumbent PR agency in the territory.
