At Bakers Basco, we play a vital role in the bakery industry supply chain by developing, manufacturing and supplying bread baskets and the associated dollies to our extensive UK-wide network of bakery industry members.
On a recommendation from a contact in the food industry, we approached KLPR because we wanted to draw attention to the important work we do, but also the frequent misuse and abuse of our equipment that takes place, along with the systems we have developed to prevent it, which save our members considerable time, inconvenience and expense.
Having worked with bakery clients before – albeit very different to what we do at Bakers Basco – KLPR quickly got up to speed on the key issues facing the supply chain from bread basket misuse and abuse. They then worked with the senior Basco team to put together an ongoing PR strategy that would educate and inform the industry about the issue through the creation of targeted thought leadership articles, which they wrote on our behalf following short briefing phone calls.
The KLPR team also publicised our latest developments in bread basket technology and misuse prevention by creating sharp, readable news stories. All this content was shared strategically with relevant media titles from a target list researched by KLPR – spanning the food, manufacturing, logistics and bakery trade press, in addition to local and national newspapers (in which conversations are ongoing for even bigger stories!)
By examining all the angles and through highly skilled and creative writing, KLPR have made what could have been rather dry subject matter highly readable and engaging, clearly getting across all the issues.
They quickly achieved coverage of both thought leadership articles and news stories across relevant media, throwing the spotlight on the important issue facing the bakery industry and the vital step Bakers Basco is taking to address the problem and keep the supply chain running smoothly. KLPR have also used their creative skills to get across and explain complex messages and statistics through the use of techniques such as the creation of infographics.
As we’ve developed new and improved initiatives, KLPR has been with us all the way to ensure Bakers Basco and our members get our voices heard and our efforts recognised through regular media coverage.
Most recently, KLPR have shown the breadth of media skills they command by producing a series of short videos summing up the Bakers Basco vision, values and mission. These will be hosted on our new website to enable visitors to quickly and easily understand our organisation and the important work we do.
A great example of KLPR’s dedication and support over the years was when two members of the team spent a day on the front line of bread basket misuse and abuse with our special detection and collection unit.
