The events agency, Volt Marketing, which organises and markets Ministry of Sound (MoS) society-branded events for students in university towns across the UK, has turned to specialist staffing agency, StreetPR, to recruit a team of event managers to run the individual gigs and functions.

Volt ran nearly 60 MoS society events during September and October 2016, as part of a licensing deal with Ministry of Sound. MoS provide DJs, while Volt organises the venue, catering, staff and entertainment, including inflatables, confetti cannons and paint.

Dan Jefferys, founder and managing director of Volt Marketing, says: “StreetPR supplied event managers for various locations on the Ministry of Sound Society Tour. They were all professionals who took our event plans and made sure every element worked brilliantly – they liaised with the venues, managed the part-time bar and security staff, made sure the DJs were happy and generally ran the night. Working in partnership with StreetPR meant we could increase the scale of the tour and run a bigger programme than we would have been able to do had they not been involved.”

James Rix, founder and managing director of StreetPR, comments: “It was a joy working with Volt on the Ministry of Sound Society Tours, even though dealing with so many venues spread across the whole of the UK made it more challenging than most of the jobs we carry out. Unusually for us, we were not involved in the marketing of the events, as Volt has that well under control; it was a real treat to be able to concentrate purely on the operational side.”
