Service providers can offer file storage from their own data centres
Acronis has made file-sync and share available to service providers, who can offer it to customers from their own infrastructure.
Files Cloud will give Acronis customers the ability to offer a file storage capability, and synchronisation across multiple devices and sharing functions.
First available for partners managing their services through Odin Automation or other platforms via a REST API, it will enable service providers the opportunity to diversify their revenues and reduce customer churn.
It allows service providers to use their own storage solution for storing customer data, setting their own margins to maximise revenues.
“As an innovative provider of hosting and data protection solutions, we have seen strong demand from our customers for a File Sync & Share service offering,” Christoph Herrnkind, CEO of myLoc managed IT AG, a participant in the Acronis Files Cloud beta programme ,said.
“Through our long standing collaboration with Acronis we have had great success with Acronis Files Cloud and we are excited to expand our adoption to meet customer demand.”
Acronis Files Cloud Sync will be integrated with the company’s Acronis Cloud provisioning portal next year, but its REST API compatibility means it can be managed via other control panels in the meantime.
“We have the most complete set of data protection and storage solutions, leading the industry through continuous research and innovation,” Serguei Beloussov, the founder and CEO of Acronis said.
“Our new hybrid cloud architecture is all about giving our partners and service providers control over their customers’ data. Data is the lifeblood of today’s always-on business and Acronis has all the required tools to protect it.”
