Remodelista.com is one of the leading home and design websites in the US with a stellar following of professionals and considered living savvy celebrities such as Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow. Our founding editor and editor-in-chief, Julie Carson, had worked on various prestigious home and interior titles in the US and our brief to KLPR was to drive consumer awareness and traffic to the UK site to help influence advertisers and publishers. We also asked them to help raise my profile as a home design expert and UK Editor of Remodelista as well as that of Michelle Slatalla, the UK editor of Remodelista’s sister site, Gardenista.com.
In 2011 Remodelista underwent a relaunch in the US and KLPR was tasked with promoting this launch to a UK market. They did this by alerting technical and trade press to the updated advantages of its new publishing format for readers and publishers. In addition, Kelly and her team set up a press campaign for the Remodelista and Gardenista Design Awards which attracted great interest across both sites among readers and press. To continue this interest, a weekly newsletter was sent out targeting specialist journalists in consumer lifestyle magazines and newspapers, outlining suitable newsworthy pieces relevant to their titles. KLPR also reached out to specialist home and design press, introducing them to Remodelista and Gardenista editors.
We are thrilled with the results KLPR has achieved for us and a much wider UK audience and awareness of Remodelista has now been achieved in the UK. KLPR has secured coverage in both trade and consumer press in publications such as: Grand Designs Magazine, The Telegraph, The Telegraph Online, Design Envy Blog, Company Magazine, Vogue, Inside Property, The Garden Design Journal
